Safety Tips

Getting on a school bus children should:

• Be at their bus stop 5 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time

• Wait for the signal from the bus driver to enter the bus

• Pay attention to the bus patroller if one is on-duty

• Hold onto the handrail with their left hand to prevent any slips or falls on the stairs

• Quickly take their seats

• Take their backpacks off and sit facing the front of the bus

• Keep the aisle clear of belongings and bags

• Talk quietly to their seatmates

• Listen to the bus driver's instructions
