History

Einstein said; History will not remember the ideals we were fighting for, but the methods used for accomplishing them. Sinton has been built using sound moral methods that have seemingly escaped a large number of modern businesses.

In 1952, an enterprising 16 year old boy with one school bus founded what would become Sinton Transportation. Twenty years later, Floyd Sinton incorporated the company he founded as Floyd Sinton Limited and by 1972 owned approximately 25 school buses. In 1996 Sinton Transportation diversified it's fleet by purchasing motorcoaches. Expansion continued in 1997 and 1998 when Sinton acquired Spencley School Transit and Connelly in Collingwood, adding to it's already growing customer base. In 2001, Sinton entered the limousine business and in 2002 acquired Vally Limo. 2003 saw a changing of the guard, with Stan Sinton taking control of the company and restructuring all bus operations under the Floyd Sinton Limited banner.

Today Sinton Transportation employs over 230 people from its locations in Craighurst, Collingwood and the Head Office in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
